Two fly rods was not enough. Thanks to Capt. Barry I had to have a 6.5 ft. 4 wt. ultralite rod and reel. I have really enjoyed that rig. I have fished it at work during my lunch break and at Towne Lake in McKinney with great success. Here's a big ole 3/4 pound gill from the lake at work on a black and white ant that I tied.
I'm HOOKED on fly fishin.

Fly Casting Clinic
Some buddies and I are planning a trip to Broken Bow, Oklahoma to do some fly fishing next month. The problem with that was I didn't own a fly rod and if I did I don't know how to cast one anyway. So, I ran out and bought a fly rod. I was so proud. My buddies tell me it's too big for trout fishing. Okay, no problem, I go buy another one that will work at the river. I still don't have a clue how to cast it. That night I'm playing on TFF and find a post about a Fly Casting Clinic in Glenrose. I went to it and boy am I glad I did. They taught an "old dog some new tricks". Here I am learning and having lots of fun doing it.
Thanks to Al and The Gang for a great time and some good instruction.

Welcome to my new blog
With this blog I intend to reflect the concepts of fishing and Fishing for Him. My prayer is that God will be glorified through the posting on this blog.

So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
